Chelsea and Chris got married this weekend on the absolutely gorgeous Cuttyhunk Island off the coast of Massachusetts (Chelsea’s family has a long history of spending time on the island, starting with her great-grandmother!). It was a perfect day to be on an island: summer heat tempered by a bit of a breeze off the water, gorgeous views in all directions, and an easy island feel that can really take the edge off the high emotion and tight timeline of a wedding day. Everyone had SO MUCH FUN! There’s something about being carried via ferry to an island with no cars that transports you to a celebratory state of mind. Chelsea, Chris, and their families threw an amazing party for their guests, starting with cocktails and watermelon to keep everyone cool, a wonderful ceremony by the island’s minister, personal vows, delicious food and drinks, and an amazing band (Soul City) from Boston. The dance floor was packed, and when guests needed a break, there was the beautiful Cuttyhunk Fishing Club lawn to stroll on and enjoy the views. It was a perfect day and evening; congratulations, Chelsea and Chris! Wishing you many years of joy together, and many return trips to Cuttyhunk!
