YOUR CONNECTICUT FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER

I began my professional career as a scientist, and as far from photography as it may seem, science - especially biology - does inform my practice. I earned a PhD in biological anthropology from Yale by studying chimpanzees (I trained them to pee in cups for me so I could analyze their hormone levels!). I gained at least two skills that are essential to this line of work: 1) an ability to observe and anticipate behavior, and 2) a complete imperturbability when it comes to getting peed on. And if you are going to photograph dogs and naked babies, this is not an unimportant skill! :-)

Photography lets my creativity fly, it introduces me to new, wonderful people daily, and it allows me the independence that I crave. I love capturing the moments for families that I miss now that my own children are older (16 and 19, already - where did the time go?). My photographs of my family are by far my most treasured possessions.
