Connecticut family photography, lifestyle portraiture in New Haven County
When we first met at the beach on Saturday, the sun was shining brightly (after a whole morning and early afternoon of beautiful filtered light), so we went searching for shade. But the photography gods were smiling on us, and the sun dipped behind the clouds soon after, and it suddenly became my absolute favorite photo light :). There is a wonderful sunlight on their faces, but it is subtle enough to not cause harsh shadows, and to allow for some beautiful backlit photos, too. On top of that, Chris and Mikayla, who I have photographed before, are absolute photographic gems. They are sweet, beautiful, and willing to try anything and go with the flow (they took their shoes off and it was COOOOOLD!!!!). It was hard to pick favorites for the preview, but here you go, guys!
