Jessie and Paul are two scientists who met online and fell in love :). Their wedding over Memorial Day weekend at Jessie’s parents’ home was the epitome of a perfect backyard wedding: understated and charming; unfussy and beautiful; rustic yet refined. Guests flowed in and out of her parents’ home as if everyone were part of the family; one of Jessie and Paul’s friends officiated the ceremony. It threatened to rain, but no one really worried about it, and the heaters in the tent kept everyone warm. Their vegetarian menu by Forks and Fingers was spectacular and their friend and neighbor Pat Miller created the most elegant and unique bouquet for Jessie. Jessie and Paul braved the chill and drizzle for a first look and some portraits at nearby Huntington State Park, which gave them a perfect little private moment before the rush of the guests, the vows, the eating, and the dancing (which was also so much fun because the music was live and SO dance-able by the River Bones Band). Jessie and Paul are kind, centered people whose love for each other is apparent to anyone who sees them together. It made for a perfect wedding day.
