As much as I love a good posed portrait, it feels as if its scope is limited. It feels more about how people look at a moment in time, rather than who they are. I love sessions like these, where the family wants me to capture a bit about what daily life is like with their little one. Each stage of childhood is so different from the last, as all parents know, and having a record of these times as they change (one that includes the parent who usually takes the photos!!) is something you value more and more as your kids get older. This little beauty was SO much fun to photograph. She’s bursting with personality, and in that “let me walk/pick me up/let me walk” stage that keeps her parents’ arms super strong! It was a joy to capture it for them.
