Connecticut wedding photographer, Edgerton Park elopements, New Haven wedding photography
Muqi and Zimo came to me with a request: photos of the two of them, just married, right before they had to be across the country from each other again as they both continued working on their degrees. I love photographing couples, and to get to spend this time with them creating some lasting memories of their union was just perfect. They have a great story – they met on a school trip to Foote School in New Haven from Yali School in China! So New Haven has a very special place in their hearts, and it is where Zimo lives now.
Wedding days are so rushed; if you have time for an engagement session before you’re married, or day-after photos together after the fact, I HIGHLY recommend it! We started at Edgerton Park, a gorgeous park on the New Haven and Hamden border. I photograph a lot of my family sessions here, too!
We then headed over to Shake Shack New Haven, where they had one of their first dates. It was so much fun photographing them enjoying burgers together in celebration!
Muqi and Zimo, thank you for trusting me to capture these photographs for you!
