I had the great pleasure and honor of documenting this lovely young man’s incredible Bar Mitzvah day, one that was full of smiles, congratulations, and laughter. His sense of fun and playfulness extended to everyone around him; I’ve never seen a concert-style trust fall from the hora chair into the crowd–R. did it. He’s a student of magic, and magic tricks abounded, with live performances by Brian Miller that had all ages giggling with delight. He gave heartfelt thanks to his loved ones in the candle lighting ceremony, and I heard someone say: R. gives SUCH good hugs! It was a celebration of life and love.
